“So As To Walk” Colossians 1:9-10 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

For our walk to be right, our thoughts must be right! That’s why the Apostle Paul first prayed that the saints at Colossae “would be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom.” When we are thinking and seeing life’s situations from a Biblical perspective we can then be assured that our manners, the way we respect and treat others, will be fully pleasing to the Lord!

God’s will on earth involves many things, but primarily God desires a relationship with every person He created. That’s why God sent His Son Jesus Christ! Jesus dealt with the sin problem that separates us from God. Because of the blood of the cross of Calvary we can be forgiven of all our sin and be restored to a right relationship with God.

God’s plan to accomplish this includes you and me! When we are thinking right and living and walking right, according to biblical truths and eternal values, we will be fully pleasing to the Lord. This means that we will be bringing Him great pleasure. And I can assure you my friend, you will be most satisfied when you most satisfy the Lord!

Then, every good deed and work that you get involved in, will bear fruit to the glory of God. Remember what Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Think right, live right, walk right, was what Paul first prayed for these dear saints. This is good prayer for us to pray for ourselves and for our family and friends!

God bless!
