Romans 10 – The Greatest Cure

Paul is dealing specifically with his people, the Jews, and how he desires for them to be saved by faith and not by trying to establish their own righteousness by keeping the law.

But this chapter also gives us one of the clearest statements in the New Testament on how God’s righteousness and salvation can be shared with all the peoples of the world.

What would you think of a person who had an immediate cure for the COVID-19 virus when it begin making people sick one year ago, and they inoculated themselves and their family and close friends, and then never shared it with anyone else? Now over 2.5 million people have died worldwide. If there was a cure and someone had it and didn’t share it, we would hold them accountable for all the deaths.

There is a more terrible disease than the corona-virus and it is sin, and every human being born has been infected by it. But the great news is that there is a cure that is available to all!

As far as I’m concerned, the greatest tragedy of all time, is that there are millions of people right now, all over the world who are sick and broken over their sin and they are crying out for help and hope. And there is no one telling them about the only cure! And it is simple one too! It won’t cost them anything! They simply need to be told how much God loves them and sent His Son to die on the cross in their place for their sin and all they need to do is to by faith look to His cross and repent, believe and put their trust in Jesus! Bu they are still waiting for someone to tell them!

Romans 10:13-15 “For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"

May the Lord help us today to pray, to give, to go, and to share the wonderful “Good News” of this cure to everyone we can today!

God bless!
