Enjoying the Presence of the God of Peace Romans 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
The doctrinal and practical lessons in the book of Romans seem to conclude with the last verse in chapter 15. In the first chapters, Paul laid the foundations of our being justify by faith and having the righteousness of God imputed to us. Now in these last several chapters, he gives us instructions on living out our faith in a practical way in both the church and the world around us.
Then Paul’s final word on this is; “Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.” What a wonderful last word! My friend, when you know that the Eternal God of all creation, the God who loves you so much that He spared not His own Son, is with you present tense, it will settle everything.
Remember when we were justify by faith we found peace with God (Romans 5:1). We were reconciled to God, we entered into an eternal relationship with God. Before we can know and enjoy the presence of the God of peace we must first be assured that we have made peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
When you know that the God of peace is with you, it will not matter what storms or challenges you will encounter in life, you will can experience His peace, His joy and a hope that will sustain you.
And again, this peace is found in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me…. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:1&27)
It’s my prayer that this will be your experience today!
God bless!
